The Kid Was Right, And That Kind Of Blows

Well that kind of blows

It Blows

Well that kind of blows.

Or doesn’t blow, as the case may be.

I started taking an antihistamine for allergies.

It did nothing at all for my sinuses.

However, as a very pleasant side effect, it is helping with the bug bites.

Apparently I’m allergic.

The bug bites cause enormous, painful, wildly itchy welts all summer long.

As one welt heals, I’ll get another one, and then another one, and then another one.

That miserable cycle continues until fall.

This summer, on allergy meds, the bites have been very well controlled.

But my sinuses are still crazy.

The Grown Son, who is allergic to cats, told me that the problem is that I am using generic Claritin.

He said I should use the real stuff.

It doesn’t make sense.

The generic one should work just fine.

It’s the exact same ingredients.

But I gave it a try.

And it works.

The kid was right.

Darn it.

That kind of blows.
