I love books.
They are always the best Christmas gifts.
I’m always thrilled when I get one.
Ebooks and paperbacks are great for everyday.
But a hardback makes an extra special gift.
I’m going to share a list of books that would make excellent gifts this year!
FOR THE STORYTELLER IN YOUR LIFE
- How To Tell A Story – This is an amazing guide that draws advice from the storytelling experts at The Moth. I’ve read this book many times, and I learn something new every time.
- The Artist’s Way: 30th Anniversary Edition – Julia Cameron shows the reader how to unleash their artistic side. Her advice is very effective!
- Writing Down The Bones – Natalie Goldberg gives great advice regarding the craft of writing. I highly recommend this book.
I’ve read all of these books, and any of them would make a great gift for the storyteller in your life.

- The Exchange – John Grisham’s follow-up to The Firm.
- Resurrection Walk – Michael Connelly’s latest Lincoln Lawyer book.
- First Frost – The latest of Craig Johnson’s Longmire books won’t be released until May, but it is available now for preorder.

- The Wonky Donkey – Did you see the YouTube clip of the grandma laughing hysterically while she read this book to the baby?
- I Spy – My kids LOVED the I Spy books. They would make a great gift for any child on your list.
- Love You Forever – This is a must-have classsic for every kid and their parents.

FOR THE SMART ALEC IN YOUR LIFE
- You Are Worthless: Depressing Nuggets of Wisdom Sure To Ruin Your Day – I bought this for my husband years ago, and he is still laughing.
This book is an oldie, but it’s still a goodie!
I LOVE BOOKS!
